Veterans Educational Benefits

Moody Bible Institute is honored to serve veterans and active-duty members of the United States military and their dependents. We invite you to explore your federal Veteran's Affairs Educational Benefit Programs in your educational pursuits at Moody.

Attention Graduate Students: You must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits hours to be considered a full-time student in an 8-week session.

Information about VA Benefits

We are honored to participate in the following VA benefit programs:

Our Financial Aid Counselors are available to assist you with any questions you may have regarding either your VA Educational Benefits or traditional financial aid programs.

How to Apply for VA Benefits

Chapter 30, Chapter 33, Chapter 35, Chapter 1606 and Chapter 1607 

1. Complete VA Form 22-1990 and submit to the VA (if you are transferring schools, please complete VA Form 22-1995)
You can complete the forms on the VA website.

2. Wait for your Certificate of Eligibility from the VA
Once you submit your VA Forms from Step 1, you will receive your Certificate of Eligibility in the mail from the VA. This process could take several weeks.

3. Submit your Certificate of Eligibility form to the appropriate office.
You can email your documents to financialaid@moody.edu, fax them to 312-329-4274, or mail them to:

4. Respond to Financial Aid’s email.
Before each semester begins, the Financial Aid office will email your student email account to confirm that you would like to use your VA Benefits for the upcoming semester.  Please respond to the email if you would like to use your VA Benefits.

  

Chapter 31

1. Submit a copy of VA Form 28-1905
This form should be available with your VA Vocational Rehabilitation counselor. You can email your documents to financialaid@moody.edu, fax them to 312-329 4274, or mail them to:

2. Respond to Financial Aid’s email
Before each semester begins, the Financial Aid office will email your student email account if we do not have a VA Form 28-1905. If you receive this email, please contact your VA Vocational Rehabilitation counselor and have them send a new 22-1905. Please note that Moody will order books and certify benefits for all Chapter 31 students who have an active 28-1905 form on file.
