It is common knowledge that the world does not make sense. None of us have it figured out, and often times we wonder if there is any purpose to this life at all. In his book, A Jigsaw Guide to Making Sense of the World, Alex McLellan ’96 seeks to answer the question, “What if the pieces of life actually do fit together?” McLellan has the observation that figuring out life is similar to assembling a jigsaw puzzle. He seeks to look at clues in the universe and human experience to find the underlying order and significance to all things. Mclellan also looks at competing views of truth and belief to examine the nature of doubt. He notes, “You don’t have to have all the answers. Just start putting the pieces together and the big picture will emerge.”
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Alex McLellan ’96 was born in Edinburgh, Scotland. He graduated from Moody Bible Institute with a degree in Communications and from there he went on to receive his masters in Philosophy of Religion from Talbot School of Theology. McLellan returned to the UK where he launched the evangelistic ministry Reason Why with Ian Leitch and The Heralds Trust. Ten years later McLellan saw a global need for evangelism and launched the ministry Reason Why International. He has served alongside Ravi Zacharias and has spoken on various radio programs around the world. Alex and his wife Sheryl have three children and currently reside in San Diego, Calif.
