Thanks to the generosity of Moody's partners, full-time residential undergraduate students at the Chicago campus receive a full tuition scholarship, sponsored by faithful Moody donors! Off-campus commuter students pay $380 per credit hour.
1. Student is charged tuition, room and board and other costs and fees.
2. Student completes process for receiving Federal Financial Aid.
Aid is applied to tuition. The use of Federal Pell Grants allows Moody to use gifts from donors toward more students.
3. Chicago Undergraduate Tuition Scholarship covers remaining tuition.
4. Student covers room and board and other costs and fees.
A tuition-paid model is often confused with a tuition-free model, in which an institution does not charge tuition. Moody does charge tuition, but this tuition is covered by the process explained above.
In some courses, fees for materials or resources are required. These fees are not covered by the tuition-paid education. Please see the Academic Catalog or more information.
Moody Bible Institute requires that all unmarried Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Music undergraduate students live on campus for the duration of their education at Moody unless granted special approval by the Residence Life Office. Moody requires this for a number of reasons, including students’ safety, community life, and campus occupancy. Rates for all students are based on actual costs and are subject to change without notice. No allowance will be granted for meals missed.
The number of single rooms for women is limited. No single rooms are available for men. All rooms are furnished with beds, dressers, desks, closets, and bookcases for the intended number of occupants. Students must supply their own linens, blankets, pillows, and other accessories.
During spring, summer, and winter break periods, single students must make a reservation at an additional cost to stay on-campus. Students planning to stay in campus housing during the winter break must be returning to on-campus for the following semester. Students who stay on-campus over spring, summer, or winter break may be eligible to have their room partially paid for by a Moody department that employs them, if approved.
Married students are not required to live on campus, but may apply to live on campus in Smith Hall by contacting Residence Life at 312-329-4189 or housing@moody.edu. Availability is limited and offered on a first come, first served basis. Resources for locating area housing are available through the Residence Life Office at (312) 329-4189 or housing@moody.edu.

This fee helps supplement the costs for labor and material for additional notes and equipment used in most classes. Among other things this means that students, for the most part, will not have additional expenses for class notes required by the professor.
In an effort to allow our students to concentrate on their studies and their service to Christ, Moody Bible Institute makes every effort to keep our tuition rates and fees affordable.
