Cap and Gown Information

Students are encouraged to pick up their cap and gown before Friday, April 29, 2022. Please see Amber Tucker when picking up your regalia. Regalia will need to be pressed. The dress code for clothing underneath your regalia is: dark dress pants, dark dress shoes and socks for men; and dress, skirt, or dark dress slacks, dark dress shoes and hose for women.

Class Rings/Graduation Announcements

If you’re interested in purchasing a class ring or graduation announcements, you can purchase these items by visiting http://www.jostens.com/apps/store/customer/1964304/Moody-Theological-Seminary/ or by calling Jostens at (800) 854-7464.

Accessibility and Special Needs Accommodations

Graduates who will need disability accommodations should contact the Office of Academic Records at 312-329-4469 to ensure that their needs are properly cared for.  Requests for sign language interpreters or other disability accommodations needs must be made no later than April 1st, 2022, contacting George.Mosher@moody.edu.

All graduating students must attend rehearsal, as it will help to limit confusion on the day of the graduation.

Graduating Student Arrival Time

A group picture will be taken at 10:00 am. Details will be covered at the rehearsal. Please arrive no later than 8:45 am for the commencement rehearsal.

Dress Code/Conduct Expectations

Please dress in an unaltered cap and gown. Remember, this is a solemn and formal academic ceremony.

Students will receive a diploma cover during the graduation ceremony. Actual diplomas will be mailed out of our Chicago office by the end of June for May graduates and the end of August for July graduates if all courses have been completed, final grades posted by faculty, and degrees conferred by the Office of Academic Records.
