    Desirée Hassler is a soprano with an educational background in vocal performance and literature with a specialization in historical musicology. Areas of expertise and interest include: vocal literature, foreign language diction, opera history, American music history, period performance practice, folk and non-western vocal music, contemporary Christian music. Hassler maintains an active performance career as recitalist and with concert work and master classes across the U.S. and Canada. Locally, she sings in the chorus at the Lyric Opera of Chicago, Chicago Bach Project, and with the Grant Park Music Festival. Desirée is a member of NATS and AGMA.
